...Stitchbombed!
Stitchbombing bikes around the Radcliffe Camera in Oxford:
Stitchboming bikes along Broad Street:
Stitchbombing bikes at Oxford train station:
And of course making a special beeline for the bull:
I wonder who the lucky recipient of this rather snazzy crocheted bicycle seat cover was:
...because I crocheted this one with my own fair hand! (And the green one in the very first picture actually)
So why stitchbombing?
Well, it's all to draw attention to, and help celebrate Darn It & Stitch's 2nd birthday! Hurrah! Happy birthday Darn It & Stitch - two years young and going from strength to strength, no mean feat in these harsh economic times.
Darn It & Stitch will be celebrating with tea and cake and a massive lucky dip this Saturday 23rd June, from 10am until 6pm, so please come down if you're anywhere near and join in the fun! Mr X Stitch (yes, him!) will also be there, taking a workshop on the art of cross-stitch. The workshop is all booked up, but if you're very lucky you may catch a glimpse of him, or even have a chat over a cup of tea...
What a lovely idea :) I'm very jealous of anyone who found their bike had been jazzed up by lovely crafters! I love the stripey seat cover. I hope your afternoon of lucky dip, tea and cake goes well
