It's not all that bad being up and about early on your day off though - I am always much more motivated to get things done, and I work better in the mornings anyway.
It seems that the Gods were smiling down on me this morning and rewarded me for my keenness to start my day by getting the Postie to deliver a very special parcel that I've been waiting for like an over-excited puppy....
Do you remember my post about the owly bookshop in Melbourne, Australia (here)? And I told you about a lovely lady called Claire who blogs over at Sweet Birdy Love, who told me about the owly bookshop? Well I entered her very first Giveaway on her blog (and frankly how could I resist when one of the prizes was a handmade felt owl needle case?) and I won! I know! I may or may not have let out a little squeal of joy and danced a little dance in my room. Those of you who know me, will know that I. Don't. Dance. Except when plied with enough alcohol to loosen my limbs and dispel my inhibitions. So that little secret dance right there was a rare treat for any fly on the wall that might have been watching.
Anyway, I digress.
Would you like to see what I won?
Look at all those amazing stamps!
Beautifully wrapped gifts, a personal message and a Zine all about where Claire lives.
A handmade birdy brooch - it's going straight on my new coat!
A teeny tiny little handmade pouch....
....and the reverse side....
....and the sweetest necklace that was inside!
The owl needle case, the reason I entered Claire's giveaway.
Inside the needle case - lots of space for all my needles.
A surprise gift! This is a packet of stamps that you attach to an acrylic stamping block to use and then put back on the acetate sheet when you're done. Clever! I already have a little plan for the bicycle stamp....
Another surprise gift! Claire, you spoil me! An owly tea towel. I love it! I'm going to sneak it into the kitchen to replace the one in there, and see how long it takes The Mothership to notice. (Not long probably.)

Thank you so much Claire for running the giveaway, and for sending me all those wonderful gifts.
I feel very blessed to have made such lovely blogger friends in the short time that I've been doing this. It makes such a difference to receive comments consistently from the same people (Claire is one of them), and know that I'm getting return readers, and that people like what I'm posting. So thank you very much to you all, you are very much appreciated.
If you're reading this post and you've never visited my little corner of the blogging world before, have a look at my previous post. I'm running a giveaway! My very first, so I'm doubly enthusiastic and excited about it. Check it out here and write a comment on the post if you'd like to enter. And do all the other things if you'd like multiple entries. Like Claire's giveaway, mine too is open to people worldwide, so who knows, I might be posting a parcel back to the other side of the world!
Have a great weekend y'all.
